Job summary

Henry County Schools is seeking an experienced leader to provide strategic direction across the Division: Staff & Operational Effectiveness, ensuring adherence to policies and legal requirements. The role reports to the Deputy Superintendent and guides district-wide processes, including policy reviews, complaint handling, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; law degree and GA Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of administrative/supervisory experience.
• Prior legal experience preferred.
• Knowledge of public education and improving student achievement.
• Ability to use data to drive decisions and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide direction to ensure policy procedures and practices compliance.
• Serve as executive spokesperson for the Superintendent and district.
• Supervise department staff and coordinate with principals and district leaders.
• Review and update Board policy, regulations, and exhibits.
• Communicate with principals, district leaders, and the school board attorney.
• Oversee EEOC, OCR, DOJ, and DOL complaints and district responses.
• Promote a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
