Job summary

AbbVie Patient Services is seeking an Associate Director, Patient Services Business Design to bridge strategy and execution. This role leads a team to translate organizational strategy into actionable capabilities, processes, and roadmaps that enable patient support programs across multiple functions.

You will collaborate with Business Technology, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and Engagement teams, shape end-to-end workflows, and drive efficiencies while maintaining patient-centric outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience working in patient services environment preferred.
• 7+ years of management experience.
• 7+ years leading teams at the product indication, brand, and enterprise level.
• 3+ years in Business Design, Business Architecture, Business Analysis, or Business Solutions Architecture.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills and highly capable of working at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to understand and strictly follow policy, procedures, guidelines, and design solutions that adhere to compliance standards.
• Experience in healthcare, biopharma, or other regulated environments preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of direct reports and/or contractors to develop and execute business designs based on provided strategy.
• Translate Strategy into Execution in partnership with key stakeholders; align on goals and develop actionable plans.
• Identify new areas of opportunity and potential benefits beyond current thinking; include improvements to patient interactions, reporting, and efficiency gains.
• Produce and maintain key artifacts including capability models, operating models, and roadmaps.
• Cross-functional alignment and stakeholder communication to ensure understanding and buy-in across technical and non-technical audiences.
