Job summary

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Senior Director – Operations Procurement to lead the LIRR procurement program, focusing on global supply chain management for MofW and MofE, and overseeing a team of procurement professionals.

The role directs contracting, negotiation, and administration of major equipment, services, and capital assets, ensuring compliant, cost-effective solutions and alignment with agency goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; minimum 12 years in procurement/contract administration; minimum 4 years managing professional staff.
• Experience with capital projects, rolling stock, or related assets is preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct procurement contracts from solicitation to close-out in accordance with regulations.
• Oversee major equipment, systems, and supplies for LIRR Operating departments.
• Coordinate delivery scheduling and vendor performance to meet production needs.
• Collaborate with ADCPO and governance bodies to prepare board materials.
• Develop strategies to maximize volume savings through joint procurement initiatives.
• Manage personnel development, coaching, and performance reviews.
