Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a Procurement Specialist 2—Operations Procurement in New York, NY. The role supports Metro-North Railroad with contract management for materials, parts, and equipment, ensuring timely procurement and vendor performance in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities include contract administration, negotiation of change orders, and maintaining comprehensive contract files.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or related field; 3+ years of procurement/contract administration experience.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, contract law, and public sector purchasing (FAR, FTA).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple contracts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilités

• Administration and maintenance of high-volume contracts; represent Metro-North at project meetings.
• Clarifies contract terms and ensures compliance with terms and internal customers.
• Negotiate change orders, evaluate claims, and prepare awards.
• Develop and maintain contract files; interface with Maintenance of Equipment, Track & Structures, and Communications & Signal.
• Perform cost/price analysis and support procurement initiative across MNR.
