Sam Houston State University is seeking an Assistant Director of Academic Recovery to lead and oversee the Academic Recovery program. You will provide strategic direction, design and assess recovery courses and related student support services, and help improve student learning outcomes.

Reporting to the Director of Academic Outreach, you will set goals, manage budget, supervise professional and student staff, and build partnerships with academic units and student services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Higher Education, Psychology, or Student Affairs.
• Eight years of experience in higher education or related field.
• A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Responsabilités

• Assist in establishing the strategic plan, goals, and objectives for the Academic Recovery program.
• Direct program strategy and oversee implementation of academic recovery courses (UNIV 2001, UNIV 3001) and related student support services.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates policies, procedures related to the academic recovery program and oversees compliance.
• Oversee evaluation of program activities and staff performance; manage budget expenditures and reports.
