Job summary

Simmons Bank in Wichita, KS seeks the Head of Deposits & Payments Operations to lead end-to-end deposits and payments operations, ensuring performance, control, resiliency and scalable processes in a regulated environment.

The role partners with LOB leaders, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Finance to deliver efficient, customer-centric operations, drive continuous improvement, and maintain growth and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in deposit, payments, or banking operations.
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles managing multi-function operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a large, multi-disciplinary operations organization with a culture of accountability and risk ownership.
• Provide executive-level oversight for all deposit and payment processing activities across platforms and vendors.
• Oversee first-line controls for BSA/AML, CIP/KYC, and customer due diligence processes.
• Support and optimize fraud prevention, disputes, and chargebacks handling.
• Drive operating model scalability, platform modernization, and automation in collaboration with Technology and Risk.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and exam readiness across deposits, payments, and fraud operations.
