Job summary

SEIU seeks a Deputy Director of Integrated Organizing Communications to lead the national communications strategy and digital campaigns. You will guide a team, coordinate cross-functional efforts, and translate organizing goals into strategic outreach across diverse workers.

Based in the USA with travel, you will oversee senior staff and consultants while developing campaigns aligned with the union's worker-power initiatives and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Seven to eight years of related work experience or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to act and organize time with independence, representing the International Union with independent judgment and a high level of professionalism.
• Proven ability to coordinate with union staff, campaign teams, local leaders, members, nonunion workers, and partners.
• Proven experience managing a team, including at least three direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of cohesive, worker-centered communications and digital strategy.
• Coordinate narratives and messaging; plan days of action with Narrative & Engagement and Organizing Hub.
• Collaborate to build and oversee organizing campaigns; manage campaign staff.
• Provide leadership on Organizing Narrative team; supervise consultants.
• Foster staff growth and development through training and feedback.
• Collaborate with Organizing Hub and campaign staff to create messaging and materials that engage workers.
• Coordinate strategic plans with colleagues to tell a cohesive story.
• Plan and manage budgets and projects across divisions.
• Manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
