Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College, home to the Reidy Career Center, is seeking an Associate Director of Employer Relations and Events to lead employer engagement, build corporate partnerships, and create career pathways for graduate students.

Reporting to the Senior Associate Director, you will guide employer outreach, organize targeted recruiting events, connect hiring partners with student talent, and support international student hiring as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in career services or campus recruitment.
• Experience leading employer relations initiatives and job development.
• Experience using Handshake to manage postings and events.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance for employer engagement, job development, interviews, events, and partnerships.
• Develop outreach strategies and forecast recruitment trends.
• Monitor market trends and report developments to leadership.
• Support international student hiring with visa policy updates.
• Collaborate with partners to build relationships with private, government, and nonprofit organizations.
• Develop student employment opportunities and coordinate internships and full-time roles.
• Plan and execute recruitment events aligned with strategic goals.
• Travel as needed for regional career fairs and events.
