Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University is seeking an Assistant Director, University Events and Engagement to support reunion programming and oversee the ambassador engagement program. This role reports to the Senior Associate Director and involves planning, executing, and evaluating reunion events and experiences for alumni across regional and virtual formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1–3 years of event planning experience.
• Alumni relations experience preferred.
• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and evaluate reunion events and programs.
• Collaborate on reunion engagement objectives and strategy.
• Develop reunion experiences for alumni at milestones, including regional and virtual programming.
• Recruit, train, and retain volunteers for class reunions.
• Oversee volunteer committees and recognition programs.
• Provide volunteer training, both virtual and in-person.
