Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP (FMG) is expanding its national recruiting team and seeks a Lateral Attorney Recruiting Specialist. This role drives nationwide hiring for Associates, Senior Counsel, and Partners across multiple offices.

You will partner with firm leadership to attract top legal talent, deliver an exceptional candidate experience, and manage the full recruitment lifecycle in a visible, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in law firms, legal recruiting agencies, or professional services.
• Strong sourcing, networking, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and project management abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail and discretion/ confidentiality.
• Experience in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of lateral attorney recruiting from sourcing through onboarding.
• Develop and execute strategic recruiting initiatives with firm leadership.
• Source and engage top attorney talent via networking, LinkedIn, databases, and direct outreach.
• Conduct candidate screenings to assess qualifications, goals, compensation, and fit.
• Coordinate interviews and candidate communications across nationwide offices.
• Prepare candidate profiles, interview feedback, and hiring recommendations.
• Support offer development, compensation discussions, and negotiations.
• Build relationships with search firms, industry groups, and recruiting resources.
• Track recruiting metrics, market trends, and competitive intelligence.
