Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP, a national law firm with extensive Midwest reach, is seeking a Lateral Recruiting Manager to lead attorney recruiting across the firm’s footprint. The role partners with firm leadership, practice groups, and administrative teams to align hiring with strategic goals.

The ideal candidate combines proactive sourcing with strong judgment and a commitment to delivering an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; JD preferred.
• Minimum of three years in a law firm recruiting role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, recruiting platforms, sourcing tools, and AI-enabled technologies.
• Strong confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Department Chairs, Practice Group Leaders, and Recruiting Director to identify staffing needs.
• Lead all aspects of the lateral recruiting cycle from posting openings to interviews and onboarding.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified attorney candidates.
• Oversee onboarding, background checks, conflicts, and orientation schedules for lateral hires.
• Prepare communications and offer letters for all lateral candidates.
• Stay informed on industry trends and maintain a professional recruiting network.
