Job summary

FBT Gibbons LLP is seeking a Lateral Recruiting Manager to lead attorney recruiting across the firm’s footprint. The role partners with firm leadership, practice groups, and admin teams to support strategic hiring and ensure an exceptional candidate and stakeholder experience.

The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and experienced in law-firm recruiting with strong judgment and commitment to service excellence. Travel across the footprint is expected (10–20%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; JD preferred.
• Minimum of three years in a law firm; internal or external recruiting experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, recruiting platforms, sourcing tools, and AI-enabled technologies.
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Department Chair and Practice Group Leaders to identify staffing needs.
• Manage all aspects of lateral recruiting cycle: postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and feedback.
• Understand job duties and success factors for attorney positions.
• Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to build a candidate pipeline.
• Enter resumes accurately and run reports using recruiting software.
• Analyze recruiting data and identify trends for improvement.
• Improve recruitment and onboarding processes over time.
• Leverage LinkedIn, Firm Prospects, and viRecruit effectively.
• Oversee onboarding and background checks for lateral hires.
