SunLine Transit Agency in Thousand Palms, CA seeks a Labor & Compliance Manager to lead labor relations and ensure compliance with agreements and regulations. You will advise leadership, oversee investigations, and support bargaining activities to promote a fair workplace culture.

The role requires strong communication, conflict resolution, and the ability to manage confidential matters, while supervising staff, tracking metrics, and guiding compliance initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Employee Relations, or related field.
• Experience interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements.
• Knowledge of labor and employment laws, investigations, disciplinary processes, and employee relations best practices.
• Experience preparing reports, presenting information, and handling sensitive confidential matters.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee grievance, disciplinary, investigation, and pre-discharge hearing processes.
• Partner with employee representative organizations to build labor-management relationships.
• Assist with collective bargaining preparation, labor contract administration, and arbitration support.
• Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment laws.
• Conduct research and recommend solutions for employee relations matters.
• Oversee workplace investigations, employee complaints, and compliance reviews.
• Prepare and maintain labor relations documentation and reports.
• Support development of EEO, diversity, and compliance programs and reporting.
• Track departmental performance metrics and report to leadership.
• Supervise Labor Relations/Compliance staff; mentor and develop the team.
