Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead employee relations initiatives and workplace investigations across multiple locations in California. You will partner with management and staff to ensure compliant, respectful, and productive workplaces.

The role focuses on handling complex employee issues, coaching leaders, and advising on employment laws while maintaining confidential records and driving proactive solutions to minimize risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong background in employee relations and investigations.
• Thorough understanding of California employment law.
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct workplace investigations.
• Prepare investigative reports and recommendations.
• Partner with managers on performance concerns and disciplinary actions.
• Provide guidance on employment laws and HR best practices.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support leave administration and workers' compensation matters.
• Maintain confidential employee records and documentation.
• Analyze trends in employee relations matters and propose proactive solutions.
