Job summary

AEP is seeking a results-driven Key Account Manager to retain and grow strategic accounts. You will act as the trusted single point of contact, resolve critical issues, and drive strategic programs with executives across engineers and departments.

Ideal candidates will have a finance/business or engineering background and 2+ years in account management. Travel and leadership responsibilities are required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in finance, business, engineering, communications or related field.
• 2 years’ experience in customer account management, business or economic development. Utility industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains high-level relationships with key decision makers within assigned key strategic accounts.
• Owns retention, expansion, and overall satisfaction of the client base and acts as single point-of-contact to resolve critical issues.
• Develops and implements strategic programs, negotiates contracts, and builds long-term relationships with executive level decision makers.
