Job summary

The Washington State Health Care Authority seeks a program-oriented contract manager to oversee IT vendor contracts for the HCMACS Enterprise EHR project, including Epic and other vendors. This hybrid, full-time role collaborates with state agencies to ensure SLAs, budgets, and deliverables meet program goals.

You will lead negotiations, manage risk, and report to program leadership while ensuring compliance with contract terms. Washington residents preferred; onsite in Olympia part of each week.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in successfully managing vendors/third parties, including policies, performance, vendor risk, relationships, contracts (including negotiations), and issue/dispute resolution.
• Demonstrated experience and technical subject matter expertise in EHR, healthcare IT vendor contracting, and IT vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with key leadership and program management staff spanning multiple state agencies.
• Manage and develop relationships with enterprise EHR vendors such as Epic and all third-party application vendors.
• Manage IT vendors and IT professional services vendor contracts, SLAs, reporting, and warranties.
• Provide senior management, leadership, and expertise to ensure contracted services are in place and managed effectively for the enterprise multi-agency EHR solution.
• Build professional relationships with all program vendors to foster shared responsibility for program success.
• Lead and support solicitation, procurement, and contract negotiations with potential vendors.
• Ensure compliance with all contract administration rules.
• Monitor, control, and report on warranties, contract obligations, and deliverables for program leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage and monitor IT vendor budgets in alignment with program budget and financial staff.
• Communicate and escalate contract and vendor issues and risks through the program management office
