Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software, and services. You will optimize total cost of ownership through strategic sourcing and strong vendor management.

You will partner with stakeholders and the Vendor Contracting team to analyze contracts, lead negotiations, and document vendor obligations aligned with business requirements. Hybrid-flex work and national scope supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent discipline experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a related field; 7+ years in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT hardware, software, and services in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Conduct sourcing events and develop category strategy, requirements, and evaluation criteria.
• Develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ) and manage status reporting and metrics.
• Analyze market dynamics and share industry knowledge to optimize total cost of ownership.
• Source products and services using proven tools and analytics to drive business results.
• Lead supplier relationship management and performance within assigned categories.
