Job summary
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software and services. You will drive TCO reduction through proven strategies and work with business owners and our vendor contracts team.
In this hybrid role, you will develop category plans, conduct Sourcing events, create bid documents, and monitor performance and risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher and 5+ years of related experience; or 7+ years without a degree.
- Experience in IT category sourcing, vendor governance and contract management.
Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software and services.
- Develop category plans, conduct sourcing events and prepare bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ).
- Analyze market dynamics and drive total cost of ownership optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to source products and manage vendor relationships.
- Review contracts and ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
- Coordinate vendor risk assessments and supplier reviews.
