Job summary
Blue Cross NC is seeking an experienced Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT categories, primarily hardware, software, and services. The role focuses on reducing total cost of ownership and mitigating risk through strong vendor governance.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the field; in lieu of degree, 7+ years.
- Experience with IT hardware, software, and services procurement.
Responsibilities
- Establish sourcing strategies for IT categories, primarily hardware.
- Conduct sourcing events and develop category strategies.
- Develop bid documents (RFP/RFI/RFQ) and manage metrics.
- Analyze market dynamics and provide optimization recommendations.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Lead supplier relationship management and risk assessments.
- Coordinate vendor reviews and ensure compliance.
