Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior IT Category Manager to lead sourcing and vendor governance for IT hardware, software, and services. You will partner with stakeholders and vendors to prepare, analyze, and negotiate contracts while guiding vendor selection aligned with business needs.

The role emphasizes reducing total cost of ownership, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration across the Corporate Services team. Hybrid work arrangements are supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Establish sourcing strategies for IT categories in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Conduct sourcing events with project work plans, category profile, and evaluation criteria.
• Develop and implement bid documents (RFP, RFI, RFQ) and manage status reporting.
