Job summary

Impact is a national managed services provider seeking a consultant with deep IT and cybersecurity experience. You will lead discovery workshops, translate findings into practical roadmaps, and design managed services across infrastructure, cloud, identity, and security.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in IT/security, strong client-facing skills, and familiarity with SOC-backed services. Expect collaboration with Sales and delivery teams and opportunity to guide clients through change.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT and/or cybersecurity with progression from hands-on to leadership.
• Ability to lead discovery, translate complexity into clear recommendations, and present to execs.
• Strong knowledge across networking, Windows/Linux, endpoint management, identity, and backup/DR.
• Knowledge of modern security concepts: EDR/MDR/XDR, emails threats, vuln management and patch lifecycles.
• Experience in managed services or consulting is a plus; collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with executives and tech stakeholders to capture goals and constraints.
• Own the BTA direction: coordinate data, validate findings, and map a remediation roadmap.
• Translate findings into client-ready options, scope, and outcomes for exec and engineering audiences.
• Design managed services solutions across infra, endpoint, cloud, identity, backup/DR, and security.
• Coordinate with Service Desk, TOC, Tech Ops, TAM/vCIO, Security Operations for feasibility and onboarding.
• Position SOC-backed security services (MDR/XDR, email security, vuln remediation) and define workflows.
• Create proposals, SOIs, and solution docs to ensure accurate delivery and client alignment.
• Support sales strategy with technical win plans and executive solution reviews.
• Share knowledge: contribute to playbooks, talks, and training for Sales and delivery teams.
