Job summary

Impact Networking is seeking a seasoned IT and security consultant to partner with business and IT leaders, assess environments, identify gaps, and craft practical roadmaps that improve security, reliability, and the user experience.

You'll lead structured discovery, translate findings into client-ready recommendations, and design managed services across infrastructure, endpoints, cloud, identity, backup/DR, and SOC-backed security to align with client outcomes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT and/or cybersecurity with progression to leadership.
• Lead discovery and translate complexity into clear recommendations for exec and technical audiences.
• Strong knowledge across networking, Windows/Linux, endpoint management, identity, and backup/DR.
• Experience in managed services or consulting environments is a plus.
• Certifications preferred: Security+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS/Azure, CISSP, CISM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with executive and technical stakeholders to understand goals, current-state operations, risk tolerance, and constraints.
• Own the technical direction of the BTA: coordinate data collection, validate findings, and develop a remediation roadmap.
• Translate findings into client-ready recommendations with options, assumptions, and scope.
• Design managed services solutions across infrastructure, endpoint, cloud, identity, backup/DR, and security.
• Partner with delivery teams to validate feasibility, define responsibilities, and set onboarding expectations.
• Position SOC-backed security services and align response workflows and reporting.
• Create and review proposals, SOW inputs, and solution documentation for accurate delivery.
• Support opportunity strategy with Sales: qualify fit and deliver executive-level presentations.
• Enable internal teams with playbooks, talk tracks, and training for repeatable positioning.
