Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Release Train Engineer to serve as a servant leader for the Agile Release Train, enabling successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the organization.

You will partner with Product Management, Architecture, Portfolio Management, and Delivery Teams to ensure alignment, provide executive-ready reporting, and foster Lean-Agile practices within a large, enterprise-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years in Program Management, Agile Delivery, Enterprise Transformation, or related leadership roles.
• 4+ years of people management experience.
• Experience leading Scrum Masters and Outside Service Workers.
• Experience building, developing, and retaining high performing teams in Agile delivery.
• 5+ years supporting Agile Release Trains or large-scale Agile delivery orgs.
• Strong knowledge of SAFe, Lean-Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, Power BI, and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate ART ceremonies including PI Planning, ART Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt events.
• Drive execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Ensure alignment between portfolio priorities, roadmaps, capacity, and delivery execution.
• Proactively manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and impediments; escalate as needed.
• Provide executive-ready reporting and insights on program health, PI objectives, delivery predictability, capacity, risks, and value realization.
• Partner with Product Management, Architecture, Portfolio Management, and Delivery Teams for alignment and transparency.
• Foster Lean-Agile practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the ART.
• Enable adoption and optimization of Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, and Power BI.
