Job summary

Toppan Merrill LLC is seeking a strategic IT Sourcing & Procurement Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies across software, hardware, cloud, and IT services. You will partner with IT, Finance, Legal, and Security to deliver value, mitigate risk, and drive cost savings while supporting organizational objectives from a home-based role.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT-focused procurement, strong negotiation skills, and deep knowledge of licensing models and cloud agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement focused on IT.
• Experience sourcing and negotiating for software, SaaS, cloud, hardware, telecom, cybersecurity, and IT services.
• Strong knowledge of software licensing, cloud agreements, vendor management, and tech procurement best practices.
• Proven ability to lead complex sourcing initiatives and supplier negotiations with top tech providers.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build relationships.
• Experience cross-functional with IT, Finance, Legal, Information Security, Compliance, and business teams.
• Strong analytical, financial, contract negotiation, and project mgmt skills.
• Ability to assess supplier risk, build business cases, and drive cost savings/value improvements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing and category strategies aligned to business goals.
• Analyze spend, market trends, supplier capabilities, and business needs to identify opportunities.
• Lead RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, evaluations, negotiations, and supplier selections.
• Advise IT leadership and stakeholders on procurement strategies, terms, and vendor management.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and other teams to align procurement with priorities.
• Negotiate complex contracts, licensing, SOWs, and SLAs for optimal outcomes.
• Manage supplier relationships and establish governance to monitor performance and risk.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning with market intel and cost projections.
• Identify cost savings, avoidance, and value creation across IT spend.
• Develop category roadmaps and supplier performance metrics; ensure governance.
