Job summary

The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office seeks an experienced and strategic Assistant Director of Information Technology to join the leadership team of our IT Bureau. Working closely with the Director, IT leadership, agency leaders, and stakeholders, this role shapes IT strategy, directs major initiatives, and identifies cost-effective solutions that support the agency.

The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership, lead teams and complex projects, manage budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field.
• Six years in IT including customer service.
• Three years supervisory experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Consideration for this position requires a credit check.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT leadership for infrastructure and services across the agency.
• Direct major technology initiatives and strategic IT projects.
• Oversee budgeting, purchasing, vendor and consultant relationships.
• Develop IT policies, procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop IT staff and foster innovation.
