Job summary

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking an Information Technology Senior Project Manager to provide division-level oversight of IT projects, including upgrades, ERP implementations, and construction efforts. The role follows a dayshift, Monday–Friday schedule and may involve rotating duties in emergencies.

Under the Director of Information Technology, the incumbent will coordinate internal resources and vendors, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and ensure deliverables meet goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four years’ experience in project management with supervisory experience or equivalent combination
• Certification in project management such as PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Experience in schedules including emergencies or disaster situations
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate large, multi-divisional IT projects (upgrades, ERP implementations, building construction)
• Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for project success
• Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and on budget
• Define project scope with stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility
• Manage deliverables, costs, and all project phases from initiation to closing
• Direct staffing resources and ensure accountability for tasks
• Monitor progress and resolve delays and risks
• Produce and maintain project documentation and performance metrics
• Proactively communicate with management and stakeholders
