Job summary

Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Information Technology to join the IT Bureau leadership. The role requires strong IT leadership, experience managing complex projects, and the ability to translate technical needs into practical plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field.
• Six years in information technology including customer service.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Equivalency of education and experience may be considered.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead IT strategy and major technology initiatives for the IT Bureau.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, services, budgeting and purchasing.
• Develop IT policies, procedures, standards and best practices.
• Manage vendor and consultant relationships; ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor and develop IT staff; drive innovation and staff growth.
