Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Information Technology to join the IT Bureau's leadership team. This role shapes IT strategy, directs major initiatives, and mentors staff to meet current and future technology needs.

The ideal candidate blends strong technical expertise with strategic thinking and people leadership, overseeing policy development, security, and reliable IT services across a large agency.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology or related field.
• Six (6) years’ experience in information technology that includes customer service.
• Three (3) years’ supervisory experience.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
• Consideration for this position requires a credit check.

Responsabilidades

• Lead IT Bureau operational and strategic planning, including forecasting needs and large projects.
• Manage IT budgeting, purchasing, and budget reviews.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including security and disaster recovery.
• Negotiate and administer vendor, maintenance, and consultant contracts.
• Oversee deployment, maintenance, and support of IT systems across a large organization.
• Direct end-user services and help desk support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technologies.
• Ensure compliance with ADA, FMLA, FLSA and related regulations.
