Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Budget & Finance Manager to lead strategic financial activities for the IT Department in Colorado Springs. You will oversee a $30M technology budget, forecast finances, manage procurement and vendor relationships, and present data-driven insights to IT leadership.

Responsibilities include supervising the finance team, guiding capital and operating budget decisions, and driving process improvements across finance and procurement functions to support modernization efforts.

Qualifications

• Strategic IT budgeting and financial management.
• Forecasting and ERP experience required.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Experience with procurement and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage the IT department's $30M budget.
• Develop financial forecasts and track hardware/software lifecycles.
• Produce financial reports, dashboards, and leadership presentations.
• Analyze spending trends and provide recommendations.
• Manage procurement activities, purchase orders, invoices, and approvals.
• Track software, hardware, and technology expenditures.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, renewals and licensing costs.
• Support strategic planning for technology investments.
• Improve and document finance and procurement processes.
• Coach and supervise finance staff.
• Collaborate with senior IT leaders, county finance leadership, and the CFO.
