Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Technology Budget Senior Specialist in the United States to own IT operating and capital budgeting for a $70M–$100M technology portfolio. You will work with IT leadership, Finance, Procurement, Legal, vendors, and project teams to ensure spending is planned, tracked, and aligned with priorities.

This role demands strong IT finance and analytical skills, with experience building executive dashboards and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in IT finance, portfolio management, procurement, or related discipline.
• Experience managing a technology budget of $70M–$100M, including Opex and Capex.
• Strong ability to prepare executive-level budgets, forecasts, and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual IT operating and capital budgeting and forecasting.
• Build multi-year financial plans aligned with technology strategy.
• Prepare executive-level reports, dashboards, and recommendations.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Legal on governance and contracts.
• Monitor budget performance and identify variances and risks.
• Standardize budgeting and financial management across IT.
• Provide financial insights to support technology investments.
• Oversee vendor spend, renewals, and invoicing processes.
