Job summary

The U.S. Secret Service, Department of Homeland Security, is seeking an IT Program Manager (Acquisition) in the Program Management Office to oversee IT program management activities and acquisition processes that support CIO objectives.

The role requires directing staff in design reviews, development, system engineering, testing, and lifecycle logistics of funded IT systems, plus ensuring efficient organizational structures for mission delivery. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing IT programs and acquisition processes.
• Ability to oversee PMO policies, plans, and program baselines.
• Experience in life cycle of IT systems acquisition.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct oversight to the PMO sections and associated policies, strategies, plans, program baselines, support documentation, performance assessments, quality assurance assessments, and program management activities necessary to support CIO objectives.
• Direct and manages the acquisition and procurement support responsibilities of staff in the design reviews, development, system engineering, testing, and lifecycle logistics of IT systems.
• Acts as the technical expert for the Secret Service on IT acquisition and procurement and ensures efficient organizational structure for mission assignments.
• Exercises position management to achieve the most effective and economical organizational structure to accomplish mission assignments.
