Job summary

Lumen is seeking a Senior Director, Investor Relations to lead the IR strategy and partner with the CEO, CFO and Board. You will translate technology roadmap and financial performance into a compelling investment narrative, and oversee investor outreach, earnings communications, and external messaging while collaborating with Finance, Legal, and Strategy to ensure clear, compliant disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Communications, or related field.
• 12+ years in Investor Relations or related capital markets discipline, with experience supporting enterprise software, cloud/SaaS, digital infrastructure, or high‑tech publicly traded company.
• 5+ years of leadership in Investor Relations, Finance, Capital Markets, or related function.
• Significant public‑company IR experience, including earnings, investor and analyst engagement, public disclosures, and executive preparation.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, valuation methodologies, investor expectations, and shareholder engagement.
• Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, Regulation FD, disclosure requirements, securities laws, and public‑company reporting obligations.
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex financial, strategic, and market information into a clear investment narrative.
• Executive presence and ability to influence with investors, analysts, and Boards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the investor relations strategy to communicate the company’s strategy, performance, and long‑term value creation.
• Advise the CEO, CFO, and Board on investor sentiment, ownership trends, and market dynamics.
• Translate technology roadmap, software and cloud models into a clear external investment narrative.
• Lead investor targeting and engagement with portfolio managers, analysts, and rating agencies.
• Gather market intelligence and translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Lead investor‑facing communications, earnings materials, and investor presentations.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Communications, Strategy to ensure accurate, compliant disclosures.
• Shape communications around strategic transformations and capital allocation decisions for external audiences.
• Monitor shareholder composition and capital markets developments; advise on implications for enterprise value.
• Build and develop a high‑performing Investor Relations function and provide hands‑on support as needed.
