Job summary

Lumen Technologies is seeking a Senior Director of Investor Relations to serve as the primary liaison to the investment community and strategic advisor to the CEO, CFO, and Board. This role leads IR strategy, external narrative, and earnings communications, partnering with Finance, Legal, and Strategy to ensure transparent, credible investor communications and long‑term shareholder value creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Communications, or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in Investor Relations or related capital markets discipline, with experience supporting enterprise software/cloud/digital infrastructure.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in Investor Relations or related function.
• Significant public-company Investor Relations experience, including earnings, investor engagement, public disclosures, and executive preparation.
• Deep understanding of capital markets, valuation methodologies, financial statements, investor expectations, and tech/software metrics.
• Strong knowledge of SEC regulations, Regulation FD, disclosure requirements, and public‑company reporting obligations.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial, strategic, and market information into a clear investment narrative.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company’s investor relations strategy to communicate strategy, performance, growth opportunities, and value creation objectives.
• Advise the CEO, CFO, and Board on investor sentiment, ownership trends, valuation drivers, and capital allocation perspectives.
• Evolve the investment thesis and external financial narrative for tech-focused investors and analysts.
• Engage with investors, analysts, rating agencies, and other capital markets stakeholders to build credibility and visibility.
• Synthesize market intelligence and translate insights into actionable recommendations for leadership and the Board.
• Lead investor-facing communications including quarterly earnings materials, presentations, and events.
