Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in San Diego is recruiting a Material Inventory Specialist to support shipping, warehousing, packaging and gas compressors. You will receive, verify, count, sort, store and move materials, perform cycle counts, and ensure inventory accuracy using RF/barcode systems.

The role requires basic computer skills, the ability to lift 10–25 lb, operate a two-axle truck, and work any shift. Benefits include health coverage and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with warehouse data entry and inventory systems is beneficial.
• Ability to operate forklift or other material handling equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, sort, store, issue, stage, palletize, move, dispatch and ship materials.
• Perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Utilize warehouse management systems, RF/barcode technology and related equipment.
• Operate material handling equipment and load/unload materials safely.
