Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Warehouse/Material Mover to support material movement, receiving, storage, and shipping in Solar warehouse locations. The role emphasizes accurate data input and inventory control within ERP systems.

The position requires lifting up to 25 pounds, ability to work at heights, and willingness to work any shift. Prior experience with Baan and RF/barcode tech is preferred, with a valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to input data accurately and maintain inventory records.
• Willingness to operate warehouse equipment and drive vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, sort, store, issue, stage, palletize, move, dispatch, and ship materials in Solar warehouse locations and facilities.
• Handle typical warehousing transactions: pick/pack, quality checks, processing ship orders, returns, and cycle counts.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in systems and perform timely data entry.
• Identify and help correct inventory discrepancies to prevent shortages or delays.
• Maintain electronic or manual records showing material status, and prepare closeout documentation.
• Utilize warehouse management systems and RF/barcode tech as required.
• Obtain necessary training and certifications for systems used.
• Operate material moving equipment and two-axle trucks to move materials between locations.
• Plan loading/unloading methods for all vehicle types used in receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
• Maintain clean, safe working areas and perform related duties as needed.
• Perform any function of (40240) Material Mover when required.
