Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Material Inventory Specialist to support production operations across Solar facilities. You will receive, verify, sort, and move materials, using RF/barcode tech and maintaining inventory accuracy.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and ability to lift 10–25 pounds and operate a two‑axle truck. Shift flexibility and strong data input skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• A valid agency issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record (no moving violations within 12 months, no 2-point violations in 3 years, no DUI's in 7 years).
• Working computer knowledge and strong attention to detail.
• Must lift and carry boxes weighing 10–25 pounds.
• Must work at heights up to 20 feet from the floor.
• Capable of operating a two-axle truck.
• Availability to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, sort, store, issue, stage, palletize, move, dispatch and ship materials, parts, tools, assemblies within Solar warehouse locations.
• Perform inventory transactions and ensure accuracy of outbound/inbound orders.
• Input data to inventory systems to maintain accuracy.
• Determine movement sequences to meet schedules and record transactions.
• Identify and reconcile inventory errors and update system records as needed.
• Utilize RF and barcode tech and related warehouse systems.
