Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Warehouse-Material Inventory Specialist in San Diego to receive, verify, and manage materials for production operations at Solar facilities. This role uses RF and bar-code technology to ensure accurate inventory records and efficient material flow.

The MIS will handle warehousing transactions, perform cycle counts, and operate material handling equipment including two-axle trucks, while adhering to safety and process standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Working computer knowledge and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift 10–25 pounds frequently.
• Capable of working at heights up to 20 feet.
• Experience operating a two-axle truck (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Receive, verify, sort, store, issue, stage and move materials.
• Palletize and ship materials to and from Solar warehouse locations.
• Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Input data to inventory systems to maintain accuracy.
• Operate RF/barcode scanners and related warehouse tech.
• Maintain safe, clean warehouse environments and follow procedures.
