Job summary

Blue Line Foodservice Distribution in Detroit is seeking an Inventory Coordinator to manage DC inventory levels across food, paper, and cleaning supplies, forecast usage, and place supplier orders to meet lead times while hitting company inventory targets.

You will maintain the ERP item database, monitor shelf-life, coordinate with supply chain, DC directors, and operations to resolve stock and spoilage issues, and work with transportation to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in inventory management or related field.
• Strong Excel skills and mathematical aptitude.
• Accurate record keeping and vendor relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and manage multiple issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage distribution center inventory levels for food, paper and cleaning supplies.
• Forecast usage, determine purchase needs and place supplier orders to meet lead times.
• Maintain ERP item database and support phasing in/out items.
• Collaborate with supply chain, DC directors and operations to solve stocking issues.
