Job summary

Champion Foods LLC in Michigan seeks an Inventory Control Specialist to coordinate inventory control, analyze levels, and ensure data accuracy. You will liaise with procurement, QA, production and logistics to maintain optimal stock and perform cycle counts and adjustments.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED with college coursework or equivalent experience, plus 3+ years in warehousing and shipping/receiving, with strong Excel and ERP experience. Forklift operation is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 2–4 years of college coursework or equivalent experience
• Minimum of three years in warehousing or inventory control
• Minimum of three years in shipping/receiving and warehouse operations
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to operate MRP/ERP systems
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment including stand up forklifts

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily cycle counts to identify and correct inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor negative inventory daily and correct discrepancies.
• Record and monitor scrap daily and report results to management.
• Monitor obsolete inventory and provide weekly reports.
• Coordinate with QA on 'on hold' products and reconciliation of records.
• Participate in physical inventory counts with Finance.
• Collaborate with Logistics to implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and external standards (AIB, BRC, HAACP, USDA).
• Validate physical inventory levels as requested by procurement.
• Evaluate consumption of work orders and close them daily.
