Job summary

NAES Gordonsville Power Station seeks an Inventory Procurement / Warehouse Specialist to manage procurement, inventory control, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activities supporting safe, reliable plant operation.

You will process requisitions and purchase orders, maintain vendor records, monitor supplier performance, and use SAP to handle purchasing and inventory transactions. Collaboration with maintenance and plant teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; military experience considered in lieu of formal education.
• Two+ years in inventory control, shipping, receiving, or warehouse activities in an industrial setting.
• At least one year of mechanical trade or industrial maintenance experience.
• General accounting experience with requisitions, purchase orders, vendor invoices, cost coding, and accounts payable.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for purchasing and inventory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Procurement activities including requisitions, approvals, purchase orders, and sourcing materials and services for plant operations.
• Maintain vendor, asset, requisition, insurance, terms and conditions records; monitor supplier performance.
• Develop supplier relationships, follow up on deliveries, resolve pricing, quality, and service issues.
• Review POs, receipts, invoices, and cost coding; resolve discrepancies with vendors and plant personnel.
• Track procurement costs, support budgeting, accruals, and cost-control activities.
• Generate and analyze SAP reports for purchasing activity, open orders, inventory levels, and vendor performance.
• Coordinate with operations to identify and source parts and services for maintenance and outages.
