Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services is seeking a Parts & Procurement Specialist to support the Generator Manufacturing Division by managing purchasing, material planning, and vendor relations to keep production moving.

The role requires a fast-learning, organized purchasing professional with knowledge of steel commodities and the ability to balance price, quality, and lead times to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, procurement, material planning or related manufacturing work.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Knowledge of steel sizes, grades and material specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and release purchase orders based on material requirements and schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Monitor open/planned orders and expedites as needed.
• Maintain purchasing records and supplier information.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate pricing.
