Gordonsville Power Station, located in Gordonsville, VA is equipped with two 1x1 GE 7EA DLNx dual fuel combined cycle units and two pressure Nooter Ericksen HRSG's featuring dual fuel duct burners. The station also includes a Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system that uses 29% aqueous ammonia for emissions control. With these components, the station achieves a nominal output of 240 MW.
The Inventory Procurement / Warehouse Specialist manages procurement, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and warehouse activities to support the safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of Gordonsville Power Station. This position processes purchase requisitions and orders, maintains vendor and inventory records, monitors supplier performance, and uses SAP to manage purchasing and inventory transactions. The Specialist works closely with maintenance, operations, accounting, plant management, and suppliers to ensure accurate inventory, timely availability of parts and materials, effective cost control, and efficient warehouse operations.

The Inventory Procurement / Warehouse Specialist reports directly to the Administrative Manager and works under the general guidance of plant management, coordinating closely with plant personnel to support efficient purchasing and inventory control.
Physical requirements include standing for extended periods of time, climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated platforms and walkways at varying heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds.
Power plant environment that may involve entering confined spaces, crawling through narrow areas, and handling hazardous materials, with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, and noise. Work may include high heat near equipment and varying outdoor weather conditions.
Some duties may require the use of protective equipment, which can include hard hats, safety glasses, and eye protection, air masks/respirators, ear protection, chemical suits, flame‑resistant clothing (FRC), hot gloves, high‑voltage protective gear, and fall protection. Fit testing for respirators may be required. Strict smoking restrictions apply in and around the facility.
All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post‑offer physical examination, drug screening, and post‑employment random drug screening.
The Inventory Procurement / Warehouse Specialist works a standard Monday to Friday day‑shift schedule. This position will require extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support plant operations and business needs and may also require callout availability. Depending on the position, on‑call status may or may not apply.
This position offers a base pay rate ranging from $30 to $40 per hour, along with eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

Associates or better in Business Administration or related field.
High School or better.
Associate degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. Relevant industry, or military experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Previous inventory procurement or materials management experience sourcing parts, equipment, supplies, and services, plus at least two years of experience in inventory control, shipping, receiving, material storage, and related warehouse activities in an industrial or similar environment.
At least one year of mechanical trade or industrial maintenance experience, with familiarity with common mechanical parts, equipment, tools, and maintenance materials.
General accounting experience involving purchase requisitions, purchase orders, vendor invoices, cost coding, accounts payable, reconciliation, and financial recordkeeping.
Working knowledge of inventory and warehouse practices, including cycle counts, physical inventories, stock adjustments, material issuance, storage, shipping, and receiving, with proficiency using ERP, CMMS, or inventory management system for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting; SAP experience is preferred.
Ability to identify and verify mechanical parts and materials using equipment manuals, bills of material, drawings, specifications, part numbers, and vendor documentation.
Understanding of quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements for receiving, handling, storing, and documenting industrial materials, including regulated or hazardous materials.
Demonstrated ability to analyze inventory activity, monitor stock levels, identify excess or slow‑moving materials, coordinate with suppliers, and support material availability and cost‑effective purchasing.
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and teamwork skills, with the ability to operate forklifts and other material‑handling equipment or obtain required certifications
