Job summary

Ernesta is seeking an experienced Inventory Planning Lead to build and own our inventory planning function, reporting directly to the CFO. You will establish frameworks, processes, and tools to guide purchases, manage inventory investment, and scale operations as the business grows.

You will partner with demand, manufacturing partners, and leadership to translate forecast signals into purchasing strategy, set targets, manage reorder timing, and optimize working capital while ensuring product

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years in inventory planning, merchandise planning, or demand planning within retail/consumer brands.
• Strong forecasting inputs and purchasing strategy knowledge.
• Experience with supplier lead times and production schedules.
• Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into decisions.
• Ability to build new processes and systems in a fast-moving startup.

Responsibilities

• Build Ernesta’s inventory planning function and establish framework, targets, and cadence.
• Translate demand signals into purchasing strategy and inventory plans.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to align production with demand and lead times.
• Own purchasing strategy execution, vendor outreach, and in-stock management.
• Scale the planning function as the business grows and provide insights to leadership.
