Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking an Associate Inventory Planner in the Pittsburgh area. You will collaborate with A/R Managers, Merchandise Planners and Buyers to implement allocation and replenishment strategies and build store plans with correct assortments and inventory levels.

You will maintain inventory balance by store, support omni-channel initiatives, and drive opportunities for better fill rates, forecast accuracy, and store-level performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3-5 years of experience, including 2+ years in merchandise allocations/planning.
• Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, advanced formulas).
• JDA Allocations and/or E3 experience required.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Training experience required.
• Strong communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Allocate bulk purchase orders using the Allocations system and place replenishment orders.
• Maintain store-level inventory levels to support sales, margins, and turns.
• Collaborate with AR Manager and Buyers on allocation and replenishment strategies.
• Review in-stock reporting and take actions to fix issues promptly.
• Leverage customer insights to optimize system settings, processes, and omni-channel experience.
• Lead meetings with Buyers and Merchandisers on item flow, ladders, forecasts, OT B, and advertising schedules.
• Manage cluster creation and ITEL item eligibility across areas of responsibility.
• Mentor Interns and Merchandise Trainees.
• Monitor new stores' performance and ensure optimal initial inventory levels.
• Create ad-hoc analyses to respond to trends and inform stakeholders.
