Confidential Client in the United States is seeking a Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join its Business Development Department. The role focuses on researching markets, monitoring clients and prospects, and delivering insights to uncover new business opportunities and deepen client relationships.

The analyst will partner with business development colleagues and professionals across departments, using internal and external data to inform pitches and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research or business development support.
• Experience in a large professional services environment (financial services, consulting, legal, marketing, advertising, market research or technology).
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across teams and departments.
• Sharp analytical and critical thinking with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Intellectual curiosity and a team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out competitive intelligence and market research across companies and industries to inform business development efforts.
• Analyze internal and external data to spot emerging market trends and potential business development opportunities.
• Distill information from multiple sources into clear, concise and actionable deliverables.
• Help develop analysis and business development content for pitches, client opportunities, strategic planning and other practice-facing projects.
• Gain familiarity with the firm's service offerings, clients and prospects to flag and share actionable business development opportunities.
• Help set up, refresh and track news alerts covering clients, prospects and other relevant entities using the firm's resources.
• Work with the firm's Business Intelligence team on detailed research into companies, industries, market developments and trends.
• Team with senior business development professionals on research and monitoring initiatives.
