Auto Club Enterprises is seeking a Claims Litigation Attorney to serve as counsel to policyholders and the Exchange in all legal proceedings, including trial and arbitration. The attorney represents Exchange policyholders to protect their interests in defense of personal injury and/or property damage lawsuits, and defends uninsured and underinsured motorist claims and related actions.

Qualifications

• JD required.
• 4-6 years Insurance defense law required.
• Solid understanding of insurance contracts; insurance defense experience preferred.
• Good grasp of trial procedures and rules of evidence.
• Valid Driver's License, acceptable DMV record and minimum liability insurance issued by the state.

Responsabilités

• Analyze cases to determine facts and develop defense strategies.
• Prepare for and defend court proceedings, mediations and arbitrations; draft briefs and motions.
• Communicate case overview to management and claims; provide discovery plans and opinions.
• Participate in negotiation and settlement of cases with outside parties.
• Assist other attorneys' files and handle other duties as assigned.
• Evaluate cases with Claims and assist in valuation, negotiation, and trial/arbitration preparation.
