Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense in Beloit, WI is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to manage quotes, support customers, and drive revenue in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle RFQs, follow up on orders, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams while maintaining accurate forecasts and timely communications.

A background in inside sales, CRM/ERP experience, and excellent communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in business/technical fields
• Three years inside sales or customer account growth experience, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to manage multiple tasks
• Customer-focused, proactive, independent; support internal/external customers
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; address client needs
• Analytical, detail-oriented, able to multi-task; assess impact of decisions
• Self-motivated with initiative; eager to expand knowledge
• CRM and ERP experience required; MS Office proficient
• NoFORN and security requirements: US citizenship proof may be required
• Travel up to 10% domestically

Responsibilities

• Review RFQs and develop accurate quotations meeting company standards
• Quote follow-up to support order placement and forecasts
• Manage daily business for customers including responding to inquiries and updates
• Provide updates on order delivery changes and track progress
• Acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
• Conduct regular business review meetings with assigned accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
• Review purchase orders for pricing, quality certificates, and compliance
• Support and/or manage the RMA process (returns)
• Prioritize tasks and self-manage daily workload
