Job summary

A.O. Smith is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist at our Ontario, CA facility to drive customer support and revenue growth. You will engage with existing customers and prospects via phone, email, and virtual presentations, serving as a central contact across AO Smith Water Treatment companies.

You will collaborate with internal teams and outside sellers, manage accounts in SAP, and guide customers through ordering and service processes while delivering exceptional experiences with urgency.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and/or equivalent sales experience.
• Track record of over-achieving quota.
• Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Strong listening and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Travel as needed for sales meetings, trainings, industry events and key customer visits.

Responsibilities

• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting efforts.
• Proactively reach out via phone and email to engage with customers and create opportunities.
• Route qualified inquiries to the appropriate sales channel for further development and closure.
• Partner with outside sellers to generate and nurture opportunities with national wholesalers.
• Quickly resolve customer issues by working with internal customer service and production teams.
• Work with internal teams to set up new accounts and ensure existing accounts are properly maintained within SAP.
• Guide new customers through the order placement, customer service, and tech service processes as well as pertinent programs.
• Establish relationships with key personnel at customers to drive partnership and engagement.
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate relationships.
• Perform program and minor product trainings via online platforms for customers.
• Work as a liaison between customer service and external sales teams to create an exceptional customer experience across the AO Smith family of customers.
• Generate reports to gauge customer growth and opportunities.
