Job summary

A.O. Smith is seeking an Inside Sales Specialist to support customers and drive revenue growth at our Ontario, CA facility. You will handle inbound and outbound interactions, qualify prospects, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to move opportunities forward.

You will manage orders, provide timely follow-up, and help customers through the sales journey while maintaining a high level of service, accuracy, and urgency to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent sales experience.
• Proven inside sales experience.
• Track record of over-achieving quota.
• Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound prospecting efforts.
• Proactively reach out via phone and email to engage with customers and create opportunities.
• Route qualified inquiries to the appropriate sales channel for further development and closure.
• Partner with outside sellers to generate and nurture opportunities with national wholesalers.
• Quickly resolve customer issues by working with internal customer service and production teams.
• Work with internal teams to set up new accounts and ensure existing accounts are properly maintained within SAP.
• Guide new customers through the order placement, customer service, and tech service processes as well as pertinent programs.
• Establish relationships with key personnel at customers to drive partnership and engagement.
• Research accounts, identify key players and generate relationships.
• Perform program and minor product trainings via online platforms for customers.
• Work as a liaison between customer service and external sales teams to create an exceptional customer experience across the AO Smith family of customers.
• Generate reports to gauge customer growth and opportunities.
