Job summary

Mill Steel Co. in Grand Rapids is seeking an Inside Sales Coordinator to support an Inside Sales Account Manager. You will own day-to-day order execution, maintain release schedules, and coordinate with Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and Quality to ensure on-time delivery and accurate forecasting.

The role emphasizes proactive communication, detailed data entry, and collaboration across departments to meet customer commitments and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication required.
• Experience in customer service, inside sales support, supply chain, or operations welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day execution for assigned customer accounts in partnership with the ISAM.
• Serve as primary contact for order status and routine customer requests.
• Escalate commercial decisions to the ISAM as needed.
• Coordinate daily with internal teams to execute orders and resolve delivery issues.
• Enter and maintain accurate order details and release schedules.
• Support forecasting discussions with timely data and updates.
• Prepare execution/status reports for ISAM and teams.
• Monitor aging inventory and escalate risks with recommended actions.
• Review pricing, freight, and order details for accuracy.
